UL1007 covers the specifications for single core PVC insulated cables and wires (frequently referred to as “hook-up wire”) used in the internal wiring of electronic and electrical equipment.

Specific applications include motors, transformers, switchboard, panels, rectifiers. and electronic circuits.

Our UL1007 wires have a voltage rating of 300V and 600V and an operating temperature rating of 80oC and 105oC respectively. These hook-up wires are designed to operate under stringent conditions.

UL1007 Wire construction

Their PVC insulation is resistant to acids, oils, alkalies, moisture and fungus. They also offer good abrasion resistance and their uniform insulation thickness ensures easy stripping and cutting.

Our UL1007 wires are tested to be compliant with the standards set in the UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 cable vertical flame test. We also supply an OS-1 version upon request.

These cables are UL rated Appliance Wiring Material (AWM) with the Copper conductors sized according to American Wire Gauge (AWG) – a cross-reference of AWG to mm2 is available as a guide in our FAQs.

UL1007 Wire Types

UL1007 hook-up wires are available in multiple colours to allow easy identification. In addition to the above standard colours, other colours can be supplied upon request.
